The Christ Cathedral is the site of what many will remember as the Iconic Crystal Cathedral, which was led by the late Robert Schuller. The former Crystal Cathedral in Orange County is newly remodeled, renamed and is now a Catholic church. Eight years after the Diocese of Orange purchased the Crystal Cathedral — the famous glittering glass church in Garden Grove.
Renamed Christ Cathedral, the 78,000-square-foot structure and surrounding campus is now the center of Catholicism in Orange County. The extensive interior renovation was completed over a 24-month period and included a number of unique features and construction challenges, which required creative thinking from a high-performing team committed to overcoming obstacles and achieving success.
